Pillsbury’s Gluten-Free Dough: What Happened and Delicious Alternatives to Try
For years, Pillsbury’s gluten-free dough options were a game-changer for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease. From ready-to-bake cookie dough to pizza crust and pie dough, these products made gluten-free baking convenient, delicious, and accessible. However, to the disappointment of many, Pillsbury discontinued its line of gluten-free refrigerated doughs. If you’ve been searching for those classic gluten-free doughs, you’re not alone.
But don’t worry—Pillsbury hasn’t forgotten about the gluten-free community! While the refrigerated doughs are no longer available, Pillsbury still offers a variety of gluten-free baking products that are just as versatile and delicious.
What Happened to Pillsbury’s Gluten-Free Dough?
Pillsbury’s refrigerated gluten-free dough options, like their gluten-free pizza crust, pie dough, and cookie dough, were beloved for their convenience and great taste. Unfortunately, these products were discontinued, leaving many gluten-free bakers searching for alternatives. While the exact reasons for the discontinuation are not public, market demand and production challenges often play a role in such decisions.
Pillsbury’s Current Gluten-Free Offerings
Although the gluten-free refrigerated doughs are no longer available, Pillsbury has pivoted to offering gluten-free mixes and flours. These products still allow for creative baking, albeit with a little extra preparation. Here’s what’s currently available:

Why These Alternatives Are Worth Trying

- Easy to Use: These mixes and flours are straightforward and don’t require special skills, making them perfect for bakers of all levels.
