Amana Side by Side Refrigerator is Child Friendly!

Our kitchen makeover is still a work in progress! If you remember, I last showed you the Amana stove that was sent to us for review. We also received the Amana 25 cu. Side by Side refrigerator and I’m excited to share it with you.

Before these Amana appliances, everything in our kitchen was white. Really white. We decided to change things up and start on a makeover to change our appliances over to stainless steel, change out the counter tops and eventually change out the flooring.

I was really excited to review the Amana 25 cu. Side by Side refrigerator, our old one was too small for our family. Just something about a nice refrigerator with lots of space that makes people happy!

This Amana side by side refrigerator has a modern style with very functional storage options.

The first thing that I noticed was the flat, smooth, silver finish. This isn’t the typical stainless steel that leaves finger prints and water marks. Water runs right off of the surface and little hands are hardly noticed.

This fridge is definitely a child friendly appliance!

This is the first time I’ve ever experienced a water and ice maker on my own fridge. The controls on the dispenser are so simple, basic and functional.

My favorite feature is the lock and unlock button. Little hands LOVE to reach up and push on the dispenser levers. When the lock button is activated, water and ice are kept from spilling out.

Other features include a crushed ice option, or cubed ice, and a built in light that can be turned on and off.

Inside of the refrigerator door, you will find options to change the temperature. Also, there is a light up indicator to inform you of the status of the water filter. We received the Amana 25 cu. Side by Side refrigerator in December and the water filter has yet to be changed. We are still in “green light” status!

The inside is split, 15.20 Cu. Ft. on the refrigerator side and 9.90 Cu. Ft. on the freezer side, giving you a total capacity of 25.1 Cu. Ft.

The refrigerator includes 4 door side bins that are removable and rearrange able. Inside, there are 3 drawers and 3 shelves.

The freezer side includes 1 basket that slides in and out, 3 wire shelves, an ice maker and cube bin, and 5 bins on the door that are not removable.

These slide out shelves are awesome! Not just because they slide out, these shelves are featured with a SpillSaver technology. You will see that the edges are not flat, so when something tips over or leaks in your fridge, the raised edges will help contain the mess without sending it to the other areas of your fridge.

My family and I have had a thorough opportunity to review this side by side refrigerator from Amana. Every feature has come in handy, it’s been a breeze to keep clean and it’s really a great fridge that is child and family friendly.

Now I’m considering changing out our dishwasher to match our Amana appliances. Aren’t they gorgeous!
