Last weekend, we celebrated my daughter’s 7th birthday and she requested some of my famous baked donuts for breakfast, the ones with chocolate frosting she says.
How could I resist? These baked donuts with a chocolate frosting glaze are so easy to make and can be whipped up in less than 30 minutes.

You can make impressive donuts for your family, bring them to work for your co-workers to brag about. It’s great to be able to make donuts, in no time at all, with less than half the calories and still enjoy them as much as the real deal.
Alternative option if you don’t have a donut pan : Use a mini muffin pan and bake as normal. This will give you donut holes! They can still be dipped, sprinkled and enjoyed.
I love donuts with a serious passion. My family loves them too! And I’m sure you do as well… as you are here for this delicious donut recipe.

Baking donuts is such a great alternative to fried donuts and when they are made with the right recipe, they taste just as amazing.
So, I’m here to not call this a healthy donut recipe. But I’m calling this a health{ier} way to enjoy those donuts, whenever you like, and not feel the horrible guilt when doing it.
Make all the donuts!!

Hi Maria! My mistake in the ingredients, it’s 1/3 cup brown sugar. I’ve updated the recipe to reflect that. I hope you have a chance to try them!
Hi Amanda!!
Quick question about your recipe for the Chocolate Frosted Donuts.
In your Ingredients you only said granulated sugar, but in the recipe you said in a mixing bowl add butter, oil, granulated AND brown sugar…??
If brown sugar is in the recipe how much is needed or was that an error?
