Breaded Chicken Fingers with Annie’s Cheddar Square Crackers!
It seems like everywhere you turn nowadays, you’re hearing about “natural this” and “chemical free” that. In recent years, people have become much more aware of what they are consuming. For some, it was just a lifestyle change due to increased education and research on the topic. For others, the changed came about due to health issues caused by current eating habits. Whatever the choice stemmed from, moving towards natural ingredients is an excellent decision! Luckily, Annie’s Homegrown products make the change simple and smooth.
For my family, my Son’s peanut allergy sat at the forefront of our decision to change the way we eat. While there were several reasons we’d like to eat healthy and natural, his allergy made it a necessity rather than an option. Annie’s caters to families that deal with allergies, like ours, by creating a majority of their products in peanut and tree nut free facilities. In addition, they provide a complete list of products on Annie’s Homegrown website that are tailored to fit his dietary restrictions.
That’s why my family is Team Annie’s, and yours should be too! Being a part of Team Annie’s allows you to special access to the world of Annie’s and share your love for Annie’s with other Team Annie members! You’ll also have special opportunities to win fun Annie’s swag, like the one’s we received!
We created Chicken Strips with Honey Mustard Dip the other day, using Annie’s products! While we ate it for dinner, it could make a for an awesome appetizer as well! My kids LOVED helping to make it.
Here’s the recipe for Breaded Chicken Fingers with Annie’s Cheddar Square Crackers!
Honey Mustard Dip
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard or Dijon (I used half of each for a milder kid-friendly flavor)
- Combine all ingredients and mix in a blender for a smooth consistency. Chill for a few hours.
Chicken Strips
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 box Annie’s Cheddar Square Crackers (or 6 snack bags)
- 1 cup flour
- pepper
- garlic salt
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- frying oil (optional)*
Directions
Crush Annie’s Cheddar Crackers in a Ziploc bag by rolling over bag with a rolling pin. Slice chicken breasts into strips. Place flour in a shallow bowl and season to taste with pepper and garlic salt. Coat chicken strips in flour mixture, dip in evaporated milk, and coat in cracker crumbs. Fry in hot oil then place on paper towel covered rack for cooling.
*For a lighter option, bake breaded chicken on a baking sheet for 23-30 minutes in a 350-degree oven
