Fire Up the Grill: 5 Tasty Hamburger Recipes for Summer
When I think back to family barbecues, I can imagine the smell of a charcoal grill and can almost taste that delicious burger.
This season, instead of doing the standard cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato, kick it up a notch with some extra ingredients. Below you’ll find five tasty and easy hamburger recipes that promise to make you the hit of the show. But first, take a look at some helpful grilling hints:
- Using charcoal? Briquettes are ready to use when they glow red and their surface is covered with ash, which usually takes between 20 and 40 minutes. Make cleanup a breeze by spraying the grill rack with non-stick cooking spray before you get started.
- If you’re adding sauce to your burger, wait to put it on until you have about five minutes of grilling time left. Putting it on too soon may cause them to drip and cause flare ups – or even give your food and burnt taste.
- Control flare-ups: When using a charcoal grill, keep a spray bottle of water nearby. If you’re using a gas grill, simply shut the lid and turn down the heat until the fire goes down.
So, grab your friends and family, light up the grill and enjoy the beautiful weather as Spring transitions into Summer.
