We have a kitchen floor cleaner, but its big, clunky, requires the use of chemicals, and though it’s great for super deep cleaning it isn’t practical for every day spills that are left by my children.

My kitchen floor is tiled, so is our bathrooms and the entry way. My living room, hallway and the bedrooms are all made of carpet. I was really excited to try the HAAN HD60 as an all in one cleaner that could easily be taken from room to room, from tile to carpet.

The HAAN HD60 Total Steam Cleaner has a sweeping feature. You can choose to only steam and sanitize your floors, sweep your floors without steam cleaning, or even use both features to steam and sweep together.

My overall thoughts of the sweeping action is that this is an average sweeper. The suction wasn’t super strong but it was functional enough to pick up light items from the floor. Things like dog food were too heavy to be suctioned up, however the HD60 had no problem picking up dust, small pieces of paper, hair and other unidentifiable objects. While I can’t say that this steamer would be able to replace my vacuum cleaner, I can say that it is perfect for little messes in between the bigger cleaning jobs.

There are two attachments available, the micro fiber cleaning pads are great for most hard floors and the carpet gliding attachment is perfect for freshening up and sanitizing your carpet.

I’ve been using both methods of cleaning for the last couple of days. My thoughts are that the HAAN HD60 is a very well made steam cleaner that is great for in between big cleanings on my kitchen floor, my bigger floor cleaner is preferred for monthly deep cleanings.

I love that everyday messes and spills can be easily cleaned up, between my 4 year old and my 20 month old there are a lot of them. I REALLY love that the size of this steam cleaner makes it perfect to fit tight areas such as the bathroom and the entry way, in the past those areas were usually cleaned by hand and knees as they are very confined areas.

And the features that win me over the most are the ease of use, it heats up in 20 seconds, has an uber long cord so I don’t have to keep moving it around, sweeps while I clean, and does not use chemicals!

For the retail cost of $150 I really think the HAAN HD60 Total Cleaner is a great buy for every day messes, this really spans the time in between deep cleanings and it comforts me to know that not only are my floors becoming clean, they are being sanitized from over 99.9% of household germs.
