Jake and the Never Land Pirates on Disney Junior | Holiday Episode & Disney Junior Announcement
Disney has announced that in early 2012 there will be a new 24/7 Disney Junior cable channel!
Disney Junior’s Jake and the Never Land Pirates is Andrew’s favorite show and apparently the favorite of many others, since the launch of this hit show in February Jake and the Never Land Pirates has become the #1 cable series for boys ages 2-5.
Our problem with shows like this is that they are often only played in the early morning or early afternoon, then comes the early evening and my child is driving me crazy during dinner preparations. The new Disney Junior 24/7 channel will be great for this very reason!
Jake and the Never Land Pirates is a music filled, interactive treasure hunt. With familiar characters such as Captain Hook and Mr. Smee from Peter Pan, this show will keep your little one entertained while teaching them team work and problem solving. I think my favorite part about this show is the singing from Sharky and Bones of The Never Land Pirate Band, they have catchy lyrics and a tune that will keep you nodding your head to each song.
Coming up in December for Jake and the Never Land Pirates is a holiday episode that will be followed in January with the first ever 45 minutes series special!
The holiday episode is titled “It’s a Winter Never Land – Hook On Ice” and the crew wakes up to find that Peter Pan has left presents to celebrate Winter Treasure Day, and Captain Hook invited Jake and the crew on a winter treasure hunt.
We had an opportunity to screen this upcoming episode and loved every minute of it! Last night we popped in the show and Andrew was glued, even begged us to get his drink from the kitchen so he wouldn’t miss anything. When we first started watching Jake and the Never Land Pirates a few months ago I didn’t honestly think this would be something Andrew would get into, however I’ve been proven wrong
Be sure to watch the “It’s a Winter Never Land – Hook On Ice” episode on Friday, December 2nd at 8:30am ET on Disney.

Wow, this is good news. Great for the younger, younger generation. Thanks for the info!
I agree Leslie! My children have learned so much from shows like this. My son is going to be super happy about having his Disney Junior in the afternoons :)
My sons are going to love this. Right now all we hear is “Momie William watch Pirates” He likes to talk about himself in third person. Then he follows it with Please Please Please with a sweet smiley expression. The best part is that the show is helping him count. He is a little over 2 years old and can count to 12 all by himself and it has helped him understand one item equals one and add another that makes two. Nice building blocks for more.
This is GREAT NEWS!! This is my little man’s favorite show as well. Thanks for sharing:-)
