Sub the baking powder for 1 tsp yeast and it really does taste restaurant quality. I make the dough, put it in fridge or freezer for when I am ready to use it. Tastes better the next day and I bake it at 425.

I always make my own pizza dough. It’s not hard with a KitchenAid mixer – eliminates all the trouble and work.

We love to make our own homemade pizza and sauce. We typically do our sauce from tomatoes from our garden and then freeze the extra (I am to lazy to can 🙂 ). We also love grilling the homemade pizza crust so easy!!

In reply to Michelle S. Michelle, I was the same way!! Never even tempted the thought of making it. This recipe has changed our minds! So easy to make with very simply ingredients and when used with the right toppings and cheese, can be even better than the real thing. Will have to post about a recent one we just made with Pizza cheese from Kraft, Freshly sliced mushrooms and Black Olives. It looks unreal!!

This looks really yummy and easy – I might try it with whole wheat dough. Do you think that would affect the texture?
