Moxie Girlz Magic Swim Mermaid | Review
It’s funny that when I think of mermaids, dolls don’t come to mind. My mind flashes back to the movie Splash from 1984 with Daryl Hannah. She was a mermaid, and a beautiful one at that! Since that movie I have loved mermaids and fell in love all over again in the late 80’s with The Little Mermaid.
Anyone here still remember those movies?
The Moxie Girlz Magic Swim Mermaid doll is the latest and greatest to hit the shelves this summer. Bathtub or pool, Kellan is ready to take your child’s imagination to the next level as she can magically swim in the water all on her own.
I pulled Kellan from her box and tossed her into the bathtub to see what would happen. The box says she can magically swim, just place her in water! Sadly nothing happened.
I went to the instructions and saw that she requires 2 AAA batteries.
My batteries don’t match.. I know 
It was a surprise to me that she took batteries so I grabbed a few from the controllers in the living room! Hey it worked!
So you can see two little silver dots underneath the battery compartment, these are her water sensors.
Once the batteries are securely in place and the cover is tightly put back on, Kellan will magically know when she is placed into water and start swimming all on her own.
No switches required, this is easy as pie for my little ones to play with her in the tub.
