Pediped’s Spring / Summer 2012 Line | 75 New Styles & Color Combinations | Review
The pediped® philosophy is simple: comfort, quality and style, in that order, which is why pediped® was one of the first children’s shoe companies the American Podiatric Medical Association awarded their Seal of Acceptance for promoting healthy foot development.
Last year, when Andrea was learning to cruise, we looked into getting her first pair of shoes. I wanted to get the best footwear for her tiny feet that would not only be cute & comfortable but would also promote a healthy foot development as she learned how to walk.
Pediped has a footwear system that was designed to protect your child’s feet from those first steps all the way up to 8 years old. Andrea’s first pair of shoes was from the Pediped Original’s, she loved her shoes so much that she insisted on wearing them both inside the house and outside.
Pediped Originals have been newly redesigned in 2012 and we had a chance to try them out. Perfect for those first steps, Pediped Originals feature a soft shoe with flexible leather soles. In 2012 the sole was redeveloped to include a slip resistant diamond tread that is made of all natural leather.
Pediped Originals are really like walking around with bare feet, which is probably why Andrea enjoys wearing them inside of the house. I love the newly developed sole with the diamond tread, 30% of the floors in our home are tiled and the new treaded sole keeps Andrea on her toes and prevents her from sliding around.
Andrea has been walking for about 3 months, I would call her a cautious walker. Her stride isn’t totally confident though she is getting there. While she still loves her Pediped Originals, the next step for her would be the Pediped Grip & Go shoes.
The Grip & Go line from Pediped is the perfect transition from early walking to a confident walker. Grip & Go is made with everything I love about the Originals, they also include a special G2 technology that includes a soft rubber sole, rounded edges, heel stability and a soft toe that allows your child to curl their toes and grip the floor.
The last step in the Pediped footwear system is the Flex.
We received a pair of the flex shoes for review so I put them on and took Andrea to the park.
Pediped Flex is the perfect shoe for confident walkers who have developed a confident stride.
Upon opening the Flex shoes I noticed that they came with two sole inserts, these can be used to provide a snug fit when your child starts to wear them and as your child grows bigger, the soles can be removed.
Andrea has a chunky foot so the sole inserts weren’t needed.
Though I would prefer to see Andrea in the Pediped Grip & Go shoes or the Originals, the Flex shoes were made very well and will be great for Andrea later in the summer when she has perfected her walk a little more. I love that these shoes are perfect for all day, they are so cute and they even match the Pediped originals that Andrea started out with.
Pediped has 75 new styles & color combinations for Spring / Summer 2012, be sure to check them out when shopping for your child’s summer footwear.

I love seeing footwear for little ones with non-slip soles. Thanks for sharing this.
These shoes look like such great quality and I love how afforadable they are!
I love that they specialize in different stages of walking. I have never heard of that before. Plus can you get any cuter?
These shoes are so cute and reasonably priced I really want to get my 11 month her first pair!
These were one of the few shoes that my daughter would actually keep on her feet. PLUS they are adorable!
soo pretty! i love their unique look!:) great post!
Those sandals are so cute! I have such a hard time finding shoes with flexible soles. I think the only ones have right now are by Nike.
Oh goodness! These are SO cute! And how wonderful that they offer alternative sole inserts for different shaped feet. I wish adult shoes had that, too! Kids grow out of shoes so fast, it’s great that Pediped specializes in different features for the stages of walking. Neat!
