Planning Vacations for Next Summer
Summer is winding down, kids are heading back to school. All that is left from summer are fun memories and pictures from our Summer vacations.
Now that Fall and Winter are on the horizon, there are ideas already in discussion about what to do for next year Summer vacation.
Of course, Andrew wants to check out the flights to Tampa so he can go see Shamu again. My husband wants to travel to some new theme parks around the US and I’m thinking a nice cold drink while relaxing by the beach sounds mighty nice.
Tampa and Orlando might not be completely out of the question, there are so many fun things to do there that I have yet to see.
Here is our bucket list for things to do some day in Tampa:
- Busch Gardens
- Legoland
- Lowry Park Zoo
- Florida Aquarium
Then of course for Andrew’s sake, we would definitely need to drive up to meet Mickey himself at Disney World.
I know a lot of my readers are from the Florida area, what do you recommend seeing?
I am a Florida native, transplanted to Ohio. However, we still go home yearly. We went to Orlando this year and had the opportunity to go to LegoLand. It was FANTASTIC. Of all the parks we went to my kids loved it the best. Plus the grown ups had fun too.
Now, if I had to pick just one place in Florida to go, it would be St. Augustine. Rich in history. A zillion fun activities for the kids, great resturants, beautiful beaches. I could go on and on. Really worth an entire week. Plus it is just a 2 hour drive to Orlando, if you need a park fix.
