Weight Watchers Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Smoothie
Since starting Weight Watchers a few months ago, I’ve been craving everything pumpkin. But, I’ve been afraid to make pumpkin treats for the fear of devouring them. Who can resist it?
One of my new kicks for breakfast has been smoothies, it’s a great way to get in your fruits, vegetables and other healthy stuff. So what if we had a pumpkin pie smoothie, and what if it wasn’t too terribly bad for you?
I’ve twisted a few versions around the inter-webs and came up with this version of a Weight Watchers friendly Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Smoothie.

I think a pumpkin pie smoothie is something for an acquired taste. I really enjoyed this recipe, as my little girl did. However, my two boys did not. They couldn’t take the oatmeal texture. If you have sensitivities to an oatmeal texture, just cook the oats a little longer and make sure you blend extra well. You can hardly tell it’s there!
I’ve made this in the morning for my little girl and myself, we love it and it’s great that she can go to school with lots of good stuff in her belly. SO much better than a bowl of sugar cereal or a pop-tart, right?

What you need to make a Weight Watchers friendly Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 Package of Low Sugar Quaker Oatmeal in Brown Sugar Maple flavor
- 1 Cup of fat free milk
- 1 Cup of ice
- 1/2 Libby’s Pumpkin
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Pumpkin pie spice
- Splenda
Directions:
Cook the package of oatmeal in the microwave, according to directions on package. Set aside and allow it to cool a bit.
In a blender, add the milk, pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, a couple dashes of pumpkin pie spice and a dash or two of Splenda. Add the oatmeal and ice to mixture and blend on high until very smooth. Remember: the longer you blend, the less texture you will have.
Taste your smoothie and add more Splenda too taste, if needed.
