Toddler’s Games : Animal Match App | Educational Entertainment for Toddlers
My toddler and preschooler amaze me with the knowledge they have to play apps on the iPod, iPhone and iPad.
I’ve yet to teach them anything about these gadgets and next thing I know, they are swiping, pinching, playing games, reading books and watching YouTube videos of their favorite cartoons.
Shamelessly I’ve used this to my advantage and the iPod and iPad have become my savior when dealing with fussiness, boredom, and a need for instant distraction.
The latest app that both of my children have started to play with is called Toddler’s Games : Animal Match. Animal Match is an educational app that involves matching the animals under the turned over cards, sort of like the old fashioned Memory games.
This app is full of fun colors, animal sounds and big buttons for little fingers. One thing that drew me in instantly was how the app has no menus and no ads! I don’t know HOW many times I have had to make reversals on my phone bill because of some ringtone that my son purchased from an ad inside of a game.
I’m really loving this app, both my toddler and preschooler are entertained and it is great that my toddler can play this game without getting frustrated with menus that she can’t get out of. Animal Match has saved me from a melt down at the grocery store, distracted my toddler while trying to escape from the grocery cart and has provided entertainment in the car on both short and long car rides.
Another shameless confession? I’m enjoying Animal Match a little bit too
Toddler’s Games : Animal Match can be downloaded for free from the App Store

thanks so much! My preschoolers LOVES matching games – I just downloaded this onto my iPad
I don’t know if the iPhone is the same way, but on my iPad I turned on Restrictions, and set it to disable in-app purchases, as well as deleting and installing apps. This way when my toddler gets on it without me knowing (and yes, my 20 month old knows how to swipe to unlock, swipe to the ‘kids’ page, and deletes apps sometimes) he can’t purchase, delete, or do anything other than play a game and send an email (yes, he’s done that too!) Anyway – try out the restrictions! Whenever I want to install an app, it takes 5 seconds to turn off that restriction so I can install it.
Just downloaded it, thank you!! I love to take the ipad to appointments for distraction! Always looking for fun new apps!
