  • I know these statistics are alarming but unfrotunately the growing reality especially for single moms. As a single mom I know what it is like to rack up debt. Managing a household on a single income is tough; even the slightest bump in the road can cause things to spiral out of control.

  • These are some scary statistics, but with the economy so bad I can see why. It is just me and my fiance at this time and it is so hard to stay debt free. I can’t even imagine how hard it is with kids too.

  • I am also this is partly due to the growing number of unwed pregnancies that occur in the US. I can only imagine how hard it would be to cover everything for myself and children without the income of their father. While the numbers are worry-some, it is not surprising.

  • Wow, It’s really hard to make it on one income so I know there are alot of single mom’s out there. We are trying to stay out of debt and are down to our student loans and mortgage! Yea!

  • Very scary, but so true. Definitely matches up to my recent conversations with people, friends, family.

  • i’m a single parent and it’s SO hard to try and pay bills, save money and pay off debt! hopefully, i will start to see some improvements soon. these are some really scary statistics though!

  • Well that is frightening to see when I think about having to pay off my student loans!
