Boba 3G Carrier

I’m a baby wearing momma and love every minute of it. Since the day my babies came home from the hospital I have been wearing them in wraps, slings and front/back carriers such as the Boba 3G Carrier.

As my children get older I find that some carriers work better than others. For instance, when Andrea was a baby she preferred the wrap style carriers. We tried an older version of the Boba when Andrea was about 3 months and she honestly wanted nothing to do with it. Andrea is a petite girl and at the time when  we first tried it she was too big to be in a fetal position but too tiny to be comfortable with her legs hanging out of the sides.

Now that Andrea is 17 months old, the wrap style carriers get harder to use as she weighs more. I knew it was time to find a carrier that was easy to put on by myself and less confining for her.

About the Boba 3G Carrier

The Boba 3G carrier has been updated with many new features making the baby wearing experience even better than before. Great for indoors and outdoors, the Boba 3G’s high quality fabric is ideal for any activity. Not just for babies! The Boba 3G carrier will accommodate any child from newborn up to age 4 or 45 Lbs.

Boba 3G Features

I’ve used a Boba carrier in the past, not the 3G version, so I was excited to see the new Boba 3G features.

It is SO hard to carry a baby and try to balance the diaper bag strap over your shoulder. Now there are purse strap holders located on each side of the Boba straps. Snap your purse or diaper bag into place and you won’t have to worry about losing your bags again.

The Boba Carrier comes with removable foot straps that are attached to the waist belt. I LOVE this feature. When Andrea’s feet dangle and have no support she becomes antsy and often wants out of the carrier. The foot straps are awesome as they give her feet a place to rest, as an added plus they also support her legs to keep her spine aligned. You can also adjust the foot straps to accommodate smaller feet all the way up to toddler sized feet, this is great as it helps keep little fit in place.

The back of the Boba 3G carrier includes a strap that either goes across your back or across your front, depending on how you decide to carry your baby. I noticed a change in the new 3G carrier with this strap, the location is noticeably higher which in my opinion is awesome as it now makes putting the Boba on all by myself that much easier. With the older model I was always having to ask my husband for help.

carrier2 Another new feature are the pockets located on the waist belt of the Boba carrier. Pockets are awesome for moms! Specially ones with very full hands. The design of the waist band pockets are perfect for small objects such as your smart phone, keys, debit card or money. I love using these pockets when a quick trip is needed into the store and the entire diaper bag isn’t needed.

My Overall Opinion

I love having different carriers as they all provide different benefits depending on your needs and situation. The Boba carrier is perfect for me when we are out for a long day. The shoulder straps are nice and padded, the waist belt has unbelievable support and the carrier itself is easy to put on. I’m happy to have a Boba 3G in my collection of baby wearing carriers and use it quite often.

Thanks for the chance to win this.. I have an overseas flight (US military move) coming up soon and have been worried about how I am going to get my (now) 17 month old through the airport while dragging 2 suitcases, a car seat, and 2 children (5 & 6). This product looks like the perfect solution! It might even come in handy on the actual flight if she doesn’t want to sit in her car seat for the entire 7 hours.
