Sonicare Flex Electric Toothbrush

February is National Dental Month and the perfect time to think about improving your oral hygiene.

I have always had great dental checkups, however; this last visit there were a few areas of concern. My dentist recommended the Philips Sonicare toothbrush to help clean those hard to reach places a little better so I decided to look into upgrading my toothbrush.

My husband and I chose to go with the Philips Sonicare Flexcare rechargeable toothbrush. We were intrigued by the customizable settings which provide a unique brushing experience each and every time you brush.

Sonicare Flex Toothbrush has 3 modes

Setting up the Sonicare toothbrush was a breeze, there is an included quick start guide that will take you through the different modes and routines to give you a quick overview of what the toothbrush can do for you.

With the first use of a Sonicare electric toothbrush you will notice a tingling sensation in your mouth, this sensation did go away after a few uses. Philips developed the Flexcare toothbrush to gradually increase it’s power during the first 14 uses, this helps with the getting accustom period.

My husband is still trying to get used to the feeling, though he has only used it three times. I’ve used it twice a day for the last week and I’m to the point of never going back to a regular toothbrush.

My teeth feel that clean!

There are 3 modes that you can choose from when brushing

  • Clean Mode : This is the standard mode for a complete cleaning
  • Sensitive Mode : Great for those with sensitive gums and teeth
  • Massage Mode : This provides you with a pulsating sensation for gum stimulation

There are also 2 preprogrammed routine modes that you can choose from

  • Go Care Routine : This is great when you are in a hurry, a quick clean 1 minute cycle
  • Max Care Routine : Use this mode for a more thorough cleaning, combines a 3 minute brush cycle with clean & massaging modes

How Does It Work?

Dentists have always given us a general guideline of brushing your teeth for at least two minutes. To help you follow these guidelines the Sonicare Flexcare toothbrush has a quadpacer interval timer, brush one area of your mouth until you you feel the sounded timer then move to another area, after reaching all 4 areas of your mouth for the full 2 minutes your toothbrush will then turn itself off.

How cool is that?

The Sonicare Flexcare Electric Toothbrush is proven to improve your oral health with naturally whiter teeth and improved gum health in just two weeks.

Sonicare Flex Toothbrush Travel bag

Also included is a soft travel bag for your Sonicare toothbrush, you can easily fit the charger, toothbrush and a head or two into this bag. This is a nice addition to help make traveling with your toothbrush easier.

While you are traveling you will feel good to know that you can use your toothbrush up to 20 times using 2 minute brushing before having to charge it again.

My Thoughts

I’m really excited to have made the change to a Sonicare Toothbrush. Though the tingling was a little weird at first, I quickly got used to it and my mouth feels so clean after brushing. I’m also feeling like those hard to reach areas, that my dentist mentioned to me, are now being cared for.

I’m excited to visit my dentist again after 6 months of using the Sonicare Flexcare Toothbrush!
