Cure That Sweet Tooth and Stay on Track with your Fitness Goals!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my journey to better health, it’s that resolutions are not my friend. Don’t get me wrong; there isn’t anything wrong with setting a goal. The issue, instead, is the limitations. Most resolutions are so limiting that they are hard to keep. They usually require a great sacrifice, that isn’t fun at all. That’s not my style. That’s why most people give up on their resolutions so quickly. I prefer to find ways to achieve my goals that allow me to enjoy myself in the process. While there will always still be a bit of sacrifice, there should be a whole lot of incentive that motivates you along the way.

On my goal to better health, I was lucky enough to find a gym that’s filled with great people who I love hanging around. Yes, it’s still hard work. It’s also encouraging, rewarding, and oh so much fun! I have taken the same approach when it comes to healthy eating as well. Eating healthy doesn’t mean that all of my meals have to be bland and boring. I can have the fun, rich flavors I love and crave without blotching my goals.

One way I do this is by making creative dishes with my favorite foods. Yoplait is one thing that allows me to spruce things up a bit! I set out to create a delicious treat that I could enjoy after the gym, guilt free. I specifically wanted something that would appeal to my sweet tooth as well. I’m happy to say I hit the nail on the head. I used the Yoplait Greek Whips in two flavors; strawberry and coconut. I added graham crackers and whipped cream to the strawberry. To the coconut Greek Whips, I added unsweetened coconut and dark chocolate chips. The results…an AMAZING dessert that didn’t leave me with regret later on!
