Updating the Master Bathroom with a New Delta Faucet!

As soon as we moved into our house, almost 5 years ago, we hit the DIY projects hard. New flooring, replacement of appliances, painting, etc. We thought our house was “move in ready”, but as first time home buyers, we now know it wasn’t so “move in ready”.

One update in our home that we have put off for years, updating the master bathroom. Being tucked away in the back of the house, our master bathroom definitely needed some attention.

 choosing a bathroom faucet

I love our master bathroom! It’s wide open, two sinks for his and her, a big walk-in closet, tall vaulted ceilings and plenty of room for two people to get ready at the same time.

There are several updates that we have really been wanting to make. The cabinet hardware doesn’t look it’s best in the gold plated style, the lights above the mirror are something from the 90’s, and our biggest priority, the bathroom sinks really needs an update.

Our faucets are old, corroded and the stoppers inside of the sink were so eaten up, when we moved in, that we had to remove them all together. We’ve replaced the kitchen sink and the hall bathroom sinks with Delta faucet, the time has finally come to finish up our master bathroom and replace those faucets as well.

Now it’s decision making time, we started our search with the interactive tool from Delta to help us find our style.

After taking the Delta Inspired Living Style Quiz, my recommendation was the Lahara Touch2O.xt bathroom faucet. It’s funny to see the Lahara style, as we choose this same style for another bathroom in our home. This was a no brainer for us, being creatures of habit, my husband and I agreed that this would be our favorite choice.

The only question now, what color finish would we choose for the finish of our new Delta Touch2O.xt Bathroom Faucet?

While my style quiz indicated that I would prefer a chrome finish, my husband and I were drawn to the stainless finish. The stainless finish will match our new cabinet hardware and lighting.

Isn’t it clean and beautiful?

During our last bathroom update, we chose to go with the Touch20 technology. Everyone that has come through my home loves the ability to turn on the faucet simply by tapping it or just placing your hands underneath it. When your hands are full, a mess from shaving or you have just used the bathroom, the ability to use the faucet without getting it messy is an appreciated convenience.

Our new faucets will include an upgrade with the Touch2O.xt technology, which includes the addition of a 4 inch sensing field around the entire faucet.

Our faucets are on the way, now we will be collecting our ideas to update the entire bathroom. We will be updating the lighting, the cabinet hardware and finally decorating our blank wall canvas.

I will be sharing my Pinterest board in the next couple weeks when we have our plans in place.

Delta Touch2O Technology for your kitchen and bathroom is precisely in tune with your every touch. Take the quiz to learn which faucet style best describes you at deltafaucet.com.

    Hi Amanda!

Let me just say – I absolutely love your blog! You are truly an inspiration to me. :) Also, I just redid both my bathroom AND my kitchen with Delta faucet products and I am in love! I got all my stuff at a way cheap website called PlumbersStock. I’m not sure if your other readers are thrifty like I am but if so you all definitely need to order from them! :)

I agree! I have a delta faucet in my kitchen but this was before the touch2o technology was around. It would be great with raw meat on your hands to just wash your hands without touching all over the faucet.

Isn’t it cool? I always thought this was just for commercial places, the kids love not having to reach for the handle.

My husband was hesitant too, until he used the other faucet that we installed earlier this year. They are gorgeous faucets!

Thank you Dawn. Small updates can make a big difference. Though I wish that we could gut and redo the whole bathroom, this will definitely suffice for now.
