Wash and core the apple, then slice it into thin, even wedges.
In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon, Splenda, and cornstarch.
Place the apple slices in a microwave-safe bowl. Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture over the slices and toss to coat evenly. Add the water to the bottom of the bowl.
Cover the bowl loosely with microwave-safe plastic wrap or a lid. Microwave on high for 2–3 minutes, or until the apple slices are tender. Stir halfway through for even cooking.
Let the apple slices cool slightly. Drizzle the cooking liquid over the top before serving. Enjoy plain or with a topping like Greek yogurt, granola, or whipped cream.
